BioMy name is James Malcom Laugh. If you are smart, you will pronounce this as L 'ow (as in "ow that hurts"). If you are trying to irritate me to no end, pronounce it like what you do when someone tells a joke.
It is my last name, I know how it is pronounced.
My wifes' names are Jaelys (pronounced Jay' less. You will see me call her Jae. I suggest you do not do so) and Alexis (who prefers to be called Lexi). My husband's name is Alexander, but to me he always has been and will be Alex.
If I seem abrupt or cold to you, my readers, it is because this diary is not for you. You have a small glimpse into my life with my slaves. To them I am more often warm. To you, I will give the most basic information I can without alienating you completely and then bid you a fond farewell.
In this basic information there are several things you will need to understand:
We are Lord and Lady (... or rather, Lords and Ladies) Laugh. We live in a land called Nyrsaea (one of many spellings and the one I most often use on paperwork). We are not roleplayers. We did not make up this land and it's inhabitants (and my wife will back me up on the fact that if we HAD, we certainly wouldn't fill our time with people like the god-awful PIG FARMER.)
Jae and I access this realm through bodies that are highly psychic and often seen as "multiple".
Time in Nyrsaea moves much different from time on this realm. A day here equals almost a month in Nyrs (shorthand for Nyrsaea).
Jae was a princess in Nyrs and chose to give up her title because I asked her to choose. The land was a gift from her mother and we have used it well.
We do have children. I am sure you will hear tell of them.
